Get ready to get down and dirty for the 2011 Fire Fete, hitting the Sound Academy at Polson Pier (formerly The Docks). The craziest parties of the Caribana weekend are usually saved for Sunday night. You’re rested from the Parade the day before and the following day is a holiday, so you can let loose without worry.
More than three thousand people will celebrate the conclusion of Toronto’s 2011 Caribana Festival as they fete to the Caribbean’s best Soca artists. The cool thing about this event is if it gets too hot, you can step onto the massive patio where you can enjoy more live music right by the lake – Sweet!
More than 20 bands and performers are set to jump on the main stage all night and just to ensure there will never be a dull moment – 2011 artists to be announced. Last year’s artists included Destra, Talpree, JW & Blaze, KMC, Ravi B, Karma, Skinny Fabulous and Red, Black & White will jam with each other throughout the evening. Numerous DJs such as UMBA, De Enforcas, Goldfinger and Fresh Cut will spin hell raising Soca & Reggae until 3am in the main space and on the patio.
