What are the requirements and procedures to purchase the items here for back home (Jamaica). Items advertised here will also be available in Jamaica. I must congratulate the person or persons who came up with this fantastic idea. You have opened an opportunity for the caribbean residents and have given us the chance of suprising our loved ones, famaily and friends with a gift. No more shipping and customs for us. I congratulate the team on this idea, good luck and I hope you will have an abundance of business so as to continue to open more stores in the U. S. and in other countries where our caribbean people are. Good luck, see you guys soon.
why did it take u guys so long to get to brooklyn.
Straker,
Please clarify what you mean?
Kelcy,
If you are referring to COURTS, then that would be a question for them. They are yet to post a comment on this blog so I don’t think they will be answering that question here, but feel free to give them a call at the telephone posted above.
welcom to us in brooklyn courts .
what is the web address for courts NY
It is a fantastic idea that you have this courts store in Brooklyn. I have been looking forward to this. I was very happy when I heard of the new courts in Brooklyn but was later disappointed. I was expecting that we would be able to buy the items at the same price which is at the store in Brooklyn because I would be paying for it in Brooklyn. I don’t think it is fair that I have to pay for the item at the same price that it is in St. Lucia. This is not a very good deal at all because our families can just pay for the items in St. Lucia. I came to the US because of the cost of living in St. Lucia, it makes no sense to buy the items the same price. Please consider having us to pay the same price that it is sold for in the US. I will appreciately that alot.
Are you serious? Is that what they are doing?
I went to the Brookly store to make a purchase (range) and have it delivered to a St.Lucia address but the item was available only in Trinidad and Jamaica. I will visit the store again later, hoping to find more of a variety next time.
I too was disappointed when I was told the price of the item if it has to be delivered to a St. Lucia address. It’s like twice the U.S. price.
i went to the brooklyn store and was very diasppointed when i was told to purchase an item i needed ss #, a or tax ID# , 3pay stubs or job letter and a bill in your name. That does not make any sense what about the people without what’s required. I don’t think you’ll will get much sale.
They seem to need some structuring at courts…They are in the wrong business.,,they have a great model but considering the cost and requirements,..they will soon be out of business
i feel like im in Jamaica again yay me now singer needs to get up here 2 so it can feel more like home
dont waste your time going there. They only have junk and the prices on merchandise are not the same price that you would pay if buying it as a gift for someone in the caribbean,
I am very disappointed about the training that the employee’s recieve! I have been getting the run around since 9am till 5:42pm. I live in Connecticut and have been trying to find a furniture store in Jamaica that I could buy a bed & mattress over the phone or internet and have it delivered to my mom’s house in Jamaica. Unfortunatly the web site has been poorly furnished with item. there were only 4 types of mattresses to choose from all at outstanding prices! I bought a $10.00 phone card and was bounced fron representative to representative. and still no sale was made. I even called m mom to go to the courts located in portmore and she had my 1 year old with her. my mom spent 2 1/2 hours in there and i heard my mom repeatedly saying excuse me could u help me please. No one hardly payed her any attention. and my mom knew exactly the items that she wanted to purchase. then when she put one of the workers on the line i told them that I was ready to pay and she told me she can’t do transactions over the phone. Then another rep got on the phone and gave me a toll free number to call, that rep told me the beds and mattresses were not available and wouldn’t be available for some time, those were the exact words, then later another rep call me back and said the murchandise is available and she could take my payment she got disconnected and when i called back she was gone and another female dealt with me saying i was mis informed there is only one GRANADA bed at portmore courts and it had a customer sale tag on it because it was her that saold it.
This is straight nonsense! the final person i spoke to was located in bklyn and she said that i was mis informed by everyone I spoke to for the day. She advised me to drive to brooklyn 2 morrow and purchase the items there and it will be available and will be delivered to my mom’s house. that drive is 1 and a 1/2 hour long, I work and I am nervouse that they are going to disappoint me upon arrival. some body plz notify me. lachennel@yahoo.com
Yes..they sell garbage. Courts Caribbean is like a thrift store now…There are better choices in Jamaica don’t stress. I will see if i can locate one and link it to a future comment…
Congratulations excellent move!
i just want to know if i can buy stuff from u and have it delivered in st.lucia
Leanda,
you should give them a call to find out.
Courts has done a very poor job in maintaining its website, and they stand no chance in making it in the the intenational market unless a better user friendly site is development. To the bigger heads of courts please get out of the small island mentality, because the business world is now getting smaller as people become more computer savvy.
Thanks
From a very concerned Caribbean/American Citizen .

I hope you guys treat your foreign customers a lot better than we are treated in the Caribbean…but then again…the fear of a lawsuit might make management in NY more apt to mind its manners.
Warning to all consumers….When you sign a warranty, ask for your copy of the policy wording…safeguard yourselves in case you need evidence,,,and whatever you do…don’t let them talk you into paying extra for warranties or insurance on items…they don’t honour these claims.
I agree, and hope the furniture is of durable quality, and not what is offered in Trinidad. Courts in Trinidad always produce substandard furniture. The items seldom last two years, plus there is a HUGE delay in the time between making a complaint and getting an actual response. By this time the warranty is expired. Additionally, all follow-ups are deliberately ignored. The managers are invisible.
Hi….i would like to purchase refrigerator at the store in Brooklyn. Can you direct me to the site where i can view a display (or catelog) of the items you have available. Thank you!
the website is htt//www.courtscaribbean.com, not net. this is the first time im on this page.
@betty, Actually, the newest website is shopcourts.com. you can now make purchases on there as well. The other sites were merely informative.
Its cheaper to buy your products and ship them, the prices here would kill you, please compare buying and shipping your items Thank you
the courts website for trinidad is not working
I think the store is okay, that is what I heard. I would like to check on Courts Catalogue of Items, if not the website or phone number at least in New Jersey is it available? My rel mentioned about it and wanted to purchase. Thanks
