GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands — A Cuban vessel arrived in the Cayman Islands with 27 males and 1 female on board, during the late afternoon hours of Wednesday.

While in Cayman Islands territorial waters, the craft reportedly developed problems with its rudder, and was said to be running low on fuel.

Cayman Islands immigration officers were assisting with processing and other reception formalities. All migrants will remain in government housing on Cayman Brac, until they can be escorted to Grand Cayman.
