GEORGETOWN, Guyana: Officials in Guyana are working with Canadian and U.S officials to infiltrate the drug trafficking ring that is smuggling millions upon millions of dollars worth of cocaine to North America.

During the past couple of weeks large sums of cocaine that were shipped from Guyana, were discovered in the British Virgin Islands, St Croix in the US Virgin Islands, Miami and Canada.

The drugs found in Miami were hiden in furniture and those in Canada were hidden in pepper sauce boxes.

The Guyana Chronicle reported that the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit (CANU) is in the process of finding out the names of people who they suspected were engaged in the trafficking ring being run by a well familiar drugs lords in the U.S.

A West Demerara man was arrested in a hotel in the mining town of Bartica and is now aiding police in making connections as to the additional persons responsible for millions of dollars worth of cocaine found in furniture in Miami.
