I highly support community & cultural programs. I think that we, as society should all attend and make sure that these programs exist. Think about the multi-cultural programs that you have attended. You may have seen a new type of dance or art. It

These days people are too caught up in themselve that no one or nothing else seem to matter, but themself. In today society, many people lack the motivation of taking part in any events. Its seem to me that lending a hand is out of the question, many people forget that working to getter giving that support to someone who need it can also benefit them as well. But, no one seem to think that way anymore. This is a dog eat dog world that we live in, and people are more than willing to trample over others to get what they want. So you ask what do I do for my community? And my answer is, is there such a thing as a coummunity, and where is it? Some people just don’t seem to care, and one person alone can do it all by themself. Unity is whats needed in our lives today so that our generation to be, will flourish with what we have left for them in this world tomorrow.
I think I’m very fortunate to have grown up in Queens, which is probably the most diverse place in this country … at least in my opinion. I mean this past week I had Spanish, Italian, Indian, and Chinese for lunch. Where else can you get a deal like that and not have to travel round the world?
The last community show I went to was a Spanish & Portuguese cultural show at my friends college. Different types of music and dance, some of it rooting from African dance.
Without any knowledge of these cultures or not having any exposure to them, I think my life would be pretty dull lol. I get bored with my own culture so its interesting to look at others. It keeps my mind open.
Oops, the last post was Me
Safrina,
