The Kings and Queens of Caribbean Comedy 7th annual show that was scheduled for October 26th 2008, was cancelled due to a lack of audience. Yes! About thirty people showed up and 17 comedians were scheduled. That was almost one to one. Everyone present could have had their personal comedian. The promoters of the show charged $40 dollars that door and $25 on line but admitted that the failure was due to a lack of promotion. The basic question is how many people would attend a show on a Sunday evening without it being a holiday weekend. It

Andrew,
I did some comedy on Saturday night at a function and over a hundred people showed up. Maybe they needed me at this to bring an audience.
Haha! Chuck, I think they should have called you instead.
To say the turnout for this show is sad would be an understatement, it was PATHETIC! How could you have names on a ticket such as Tommy Joseph, Sprangalang, Fatman George, Clevis, Mac Fingal, Blakka, Trevor Eastman, Wassy, Tomy Vesignes, etc. and have a turnout of approximately 35 people. Were the promoters trying to keep this show a secret hoping that some young detective would come unravel the mystery? Then after having the people who were actually there wait almost two hours they cancel the show. That’s ridiculous!
To say the least we got a full refund and a DVD. Hooray!
Maybe the people did not show up because these “comedians” are no good. I heard that the 35 people were the promoters family and the staff of the venue. Is this true?
Also, we Caribbean people need to be more original and stop copying from the Americans.
